Ice Storm

This weekend we were supposed to have the worst ice storm in 10 years.  Thankfully we didn't get as much as other areas.  It really didn't cause any problems around here but it did make for some pretty pictures.

 Our house from the road.
It's starting to melt now. The roof of our house was all ice.
MODot andLake Sherwood did a great job on the roads and each time we went out the roads were just wet. The sides of the roads, curbs and sidewalks were all ice though because they didn't get treated.

That was our excitement this weekend.
I am ready for warm air, sunshine and boat excitement though!

New Year, Sales and Valentines!

I hope you all had a great Christmas and New Years with family and friends!
We ended the year with a nice visit from my parents.
We went to the St Louis Zoo and saw the Wild Lights.

These are just a few of the pictures, but I was very impressed with their display of lights!

We also went to Grafton, IL to watch the eagles. We were actually a little early and only ended up seeing 3 eagles. Peek season is mid-January.
It was a nice day for a ride and it was nice to see that IL has more than cornfields. LOL! That's all we ever see from the expressway.

Historic Old St. Charles

We had a nice night at Historic Old St. Charles.
We got to enjoy some Christmas carolers.

 Managed to take a selfie..
We even found some Christmas gifts, which is very easy to do there with all the great shops.
Everything was decorated so nicely.
This is one of the Santa's that was walking around.
I missed getting a picture of the horse and buggy.
I was actually going to try to get Mike to go for a carriage ride but I changed my mind after walking by one that was a little on the smelly side. LOL! I don't think I could have ignored the smell of manure.

I was really busy down there and everyone was having a great time.

Essential Oil

It's important for me to tell you that not all essential oil is safe to take internally. All of the information I share on this blog is for doTERRA essential oils only.

doTERRA is committed to providing the purest, most potent essential oils possible. They employ a global network of farmers who know intimately the process of growing plants for essential oils. They ensure the plant is taken care of properly and harvested at the proper time.

doTERRA is Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils. Every doTERRA essential oil is put through the highest standard of rigorous and thorough testing. This testing sets the bar for quality, purity, efficacy, and consistency.

When an essential oil is deemed worthy to be sold as a doTERRA essential oil, you'll know that it has the highest quantity of active, beneficial constituents and that it is free of contaminants and adulterations.

If you have any questions about doTERRA essential oils, please feel free to ask! You can also click HERE to be taken to my doTERRA page where there are videos for you to watch.

Christmas Lights

Hello Everyone!
Just thought I would share our outdoor Christmas lights.
This year we added the lamp post, the Joy sign, and the Christmas presents.
Next year Mike wants to add some light up deer in the yard. I wonder what the actual deer will think ;)

Things have been picking up in my Etsy shop and I am thankful for that!
I was able to add two things today.
A sweet little hand stitched snowman ornament for your tree.
It measures 3.5" x 3.5"
Perfect for a gift exchange at work or your child's teacher's gift.

and a Snowman Tree Candle Mat

You can find both of these in my Etsy shop.
